He is currently an associate professor in this department and interim director of the Chair of Science Journalism. Doctor in political science, his thesis focused on the emergence of new daily newspapers in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, during the NAFTA debate. He has published books, scholarly articles and book chapters at an average rate of two per year, more than 90 to date.
