{"id":6127,"date":"2022-08-10T13:14:28","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T11:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mediaregulation.org\/2022\/08\/29\/morocco-haca-calls-for-fair-media-treatment-of-womens-sport\/"},"modified":"2022-08-29T13:25:34","modified_gmt":"2022-08-29T11:25:34","slug":"morocco-haca-calls-for-fair-media-treatment-of-womens-sport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mediaregulation.org\/en\/2022\/08\/10\/morocco-haca-calls-for-fair-media-treatment-of-womens-sport\/","title":{"rendered":"Morocco:  HACA calls for fair media treatment of women\u2019s sport"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><!--more--><br \/>\nThe Superior Council for Audiovisual Communication (CSCA) in Morocco welcomed the mediatization effort for the participation of the women\u2019s national team in the 2022 Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations, calling for fair media treatment of women\u2019s sport.<\/p>\n<p>During its plenary meeting on July 29, the CSCA noted the exceptional effort and mobilization deployed by public and private radio and television stations, to ensure significant media coverage of the national team\u2019s participation in this competition.<br \/>\nThe media coverage has allowed visibility of the presence of women in the public sports space (grounds, stands, training, press briefings and parallel events), aroused popular enthusiasm and collective interest in a women\u2019s national team, underlines a press release from the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA).<br \/>\nHACA called for the multiplication of sports broadcasts devoted to women\u2019s sport, the representation of women\u2019s expertise and a more consistent treatment of the question of women\u2019s sport, in particular through the strengthening of the place and participation of women in all programs relating to sport.<br \/>\nThe Authority recalled also that the media coverage of women\u2019s sport contributes to the promotion of the fair representation of women in the media and to the strengthening of the culture of parity and gender equality within society.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":6139,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[541],"tags":[189,546,308],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 -
