West Africa: Legal Experts discuss “Harmonization and regulations radio frequencies”

A workshop for legal Expert from the Platform of Audiovisual Regulators of WAEMU and Guinea was held on August 30 and 31 in Niamey on the theme: “Harmonization regulations radio frequencies”.
The meeting, held at the invitation of the Superior Council of Communication (CSC) of Niger, was opened by the President of the Platform and President of the National Audiovisual Regulatory Council (CNRA) of Senegal.
The issue of audiovisual royalties, discussed by the participants is very important for African countries in general and those constituting the Platform in particular. These fees, which vary from one country to another, face difficulties in terms of recovering the amounts, said the president of the CNRA of Senegal.
The Harmonization of audiovisual royalties, fees and taxes is one of the most important axes in the Roadmap adopted by the General Assembly of the Platform in Dakar in May 2021.
