EPRA: European regulators discuss the challenges of DIS / Misinformation at the time of digital platforms
The European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) focused, during its 56th meeting held from October 12 to 14 in Antalya (Turkey), on the challenges of DIS/ misinformation at the time of digital platforms.
During the two thematic sessions, European regulators notably mentioned questions relating to the challenges of DIS/ Misinformation, the diversity and credibility of the media as well as the means to deal with the challenges of a media ecosystem marked by an rapid evolving digitalization.
Exchanges also focused on developments in media regulations, regulation of the media landscape as well as the experiments carried out by national regulators to integrate the regulation of video sharing platforms, in their fields of action.
The meeting of delegates of the European network is organized at the invitation of RTük, the radio and television council of Türkiye. Around 150 delegates who represent 45 Regulatory authorities as well as permanent observers and media experts. EPRA periodic meetings are also an opportunity to exchange and share knowledge and expertise with academics and external experts.
